Molecular formula: C8H10O2 Molecular weight:138.17 CAS No: 122-99-6
Character:
Colorless to light yellow transparent liquid, boiling point 244.7°C, density 1.1050-1.1250.
Product Usage:
EPH is a high boiling point solvent with faint rose-like odor, low evaporation rate, colorless liquid. It has good miscibility for alcohols, ethers and other organic solvents, good solubility for resin products, so we call it “alkahest”. EPH is widely used as solvent of paint and printing ink and ballpoint ink, as well as the infiltrating and bactericide in the detergents, and film-forming aids for water-based coatings. It is as an extractor in petroleum industry. It is an ideal preservative solvent and anesthetic in pharmaceutical industry.
